Indian Clubs: 4 Pound Balochistan Meel Pair - Cherry

Hand Crafted & Finished Solid Cherry Wood Indian Clubs

Kiln Dried Hard Wood: Cherry

I found an old photo of what was called a "martial arts facility" in Balochistan that had a pair of clubs shaped like this.  They claimed to teach pehlwani wrestling and "Chinese Boxing".  I wish I could find that photo today, but I know it was from Balochistan, because I had an art history professor from that area of what is now Pakistan.  The unsual shap makes for some awesome grip work when doing fancy club swinging while holding only the knob.  Additionally, cherry is much less dense than some other hardwoods, so it has a large mass, relative to the actual weight, altering the rate of your swing period.

Cherry also darkens with age, becuase it is color sensitive to UV rays.  Paul Wolkowinski uses my clubs in the Product Video, which are about 4 years old.  They have definitely achieved a much darker red and obvious grain with age.

This item is NEVER in stock.  They are all made to order, like ALL of our larger clubs.  They can take 4-6 business weeks to ship out. The week between Christmas and New Year's Day is NOT a business week.

Check out the Product Video Tab above. I don't think these specific clubs are in it, but Paul Wolkowinski does a demo with some of the clubs from my personal collection that you really need to see.
