Sumtola (Indian Barbell) 40 Pound
Forearm & Core Strength
(The Indian Wrestler Barbell)
Sumtola are also known as the Indian Barbell. They are considered one of the secret strength training tools of the Indian Wrestlers, Hindu and Muslim alike. Unlike a strongman "log bar", the handles are carved in the circumference of the "log", lengthwise. These are made of sealed and finished, kiln-dried, and laminated North American wood, hard has a bowling alley.
ATOMIC TIP: Twisting Swings are great for building core, delts, spinal erectors and forearms. See the exercise in the video clip below.
Sumtola are hand carved, so lead times run 8 - 12 weeks. Close-up PHOTO of the hand carved handles can be seen when clicking on the photo above. We make every attempt to keep at least one Standard Sumtola (as seen in photos) in stock. This is a natural wood product, so individual minor variations in color, weight and size will occur.
